News

Welcome to your very short, sweet and belated weekly report. We’re sorry for the delay in this going live, we were having way too much running fun at camp – all of which you can read later on in the report!

Senior training this week took place at Shobdon Football Club on Tuesday and Croft Wood on Thursday, with the focus being on long intervals and hills! Thank you to Clare and Tim J for taking these sessions!

Ludlow Parkrun was back after a short break this weekend, with a handful of Croft runners taking part. Eric finished in first position, with a time of 19:36. Simon and Oliver M joined him in the top ten. Naomi was first Croft female. Tom D and Neil volunteered.

Over in Hereford, Sam J would take home not just another first place, but also a new PB with a time of 15:46. Frank also ran at Hereford. Elsewhere, there was another Croft win. This time it was for Jasper as he took on Coed Cefn-pwll-du Parkrun for the first time. His time was 20:56.

On Saturday, several Crofties took part in the Sugar Loaf Fell Race. A full race report, with results, written by Guy, can be read here.

On Sunday, Eric took part in the Richard Burton 10k. He would finish 8th overall in a time of 33:57.

For Saffi, on Sunday it was a very busy but fun 10K Mo Runner for in Sutton Park, Birmingham. Described by the organisers as undulating and a mix of path and trail. Saf finished in 49mins35 and placed 33rd out 365 runners. Great atmosphere and for a great cause.

Hannah was overseas this weekend taking part in the TCS New York City Marathon. She finished the 26.2 mile race in 04:48:43.

And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for… CAMP!

This year we headed over to Boundless Outdoors in West Malvern to make use of the trails, footpaths and hills – Malvern Hills to be exact, while having some serious fun alongside the hard training sessions! Thank you so much to Huw, Kelly & Liza for all of their hard work in making the weekend what it was! We’re already looking forward to Croft Camp 2025! Be sure to check out the pictures and videos on our Facebook pages!

That’s it for this week, or last week, however you want to look at it! The report will be out as usual this Sunday evening. Please remember that our upcoming training sessions will be available to view on our Facebook page every MONDAY MORNING. In the meantime, don’t forget, we’re always on the look out for your race reports for the website, so get posting them on Facebook or send them to either Sam H, Huw or myself (Bronwyn).
