Llanbedr to Blaenafon Fell race

News
A  hardy ( maybe insane?) group of 71 runners lined up for the classic 16 mile Llanbedr to Blaenafon fell race on 6th April.  Fortunately the cold weather relented for the day but there was still a good deal of snow and ice on the three summits of Crug Mawr, Sugar Loaf and the Blorenge, ensuring that the runners had to be careful and determined!
Gary G, on his return from the Phillipines, carried on where he left off by winning the over 60 category, with  an excellent 48th overall in a time of 3 hours 26mins 9 secs. Tom D, not being as sure footed as Gary, struggled  around the course to finish 66th overall in a time of 4.09.49.
The race was won by Hugh Aggleton of MDC in 2.15.18, first lady  and 18th overall in a time of 2.52.01 was Liza Barry of CLC Striders
