Hello to March! And, hopefully to the nicer Spring-like weather also. With the last week of February now behind us, it’s time to reminiscence and see what our Croft members have been up to!
There was plenty of training ongoing for our runners this week with the Juniors kickstarting the week with their session on Monday evening at Wigmore school. This was followed by our Senior training on Tuesday at Shobdon Orchards, a hill session led by Sam, and long intervals at Croft on Thursday with Kelly.
Parkrun Saturday was another busy one with Crofties taking part in the weekly event near and far. At our home Parkrun in Ludlow, it was a 3rd place finish for first Croftie home; Casper. He finished with a new PB of 22:44. Naomi was first Croft female and 4th female overall. Volunteers this week were Casper, Paul L, Frank, Seb, Eric, Bronwyn and Baby Evan. Four Crofties – Mike B, Steph K, Gary and Mike H, took on Queenswood Parkrun on its return after a 2 week wet weather hiatus. Mike B would record a new PB with a time of 27:16. Sam J and Kath volunteered. Parkrun Tourists this week were Lisa, who ran at Cheltenham, Angus at Llanerchaeron and Tom P, running at Radcliffe Parkrun, while still in Australia. Saffi was back at Severn Bridge where she finished 1st female.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Kelly, Paul, Ali B and Ingrid took part in the 25 miler South Shropshire Circular, a long distance walking event, hosted by the Long Distance Walkers Association.

On Sunday two Croft runners; Miles and Saffi headed over to Ledbury to take part in a new local 10k; Bromesberrow Speed Runway 10k. Miles was 9th male and 11th overall in 46:46 and Saf was just behind him, 12th overall and 3rd female in 46:53. She also won her age category and the U18 1k race.

That’s all we have for this week. If you have been doing something that you would like included in the weekly roundup please let Bronwyn, Huw, Sam H or Tori know before 6pm on a Sunday.
We are always on the lookout for race reports to go on the website too. They do not need to be huge, or even go into too much detail, but let us know where you went and how it went for you together with a couple of photos and make our website current and up to date.
Enjoy your week of running everyone!
