Croft again provided the winner for the Soapbox race, this time it was Stacey, who kept his lead over Simon (32.18) through to the end, finishing in 31.54. 34 runners, and Catherine sweeping up, completed the course, but we failed to attract more than a handful of runners from beyond Croft and Ludlow. Suzanne ran her first competitive race for Croft for nearly a year, and finished 2nd lady (and 1st JF, but only just ahead of 14yr old Eilish Gilbert) and Nicky, who like Tom and Gary had run for hours over Welsh mountains the day before, was 3rd lady (and 1st FV50). Gary won the MV55 prize, with Tom receiving the MV60. Bryan ran a fine race to be 1st MV70 (for which we had neglected to provide an award!) The ladies (Suzanne, Nicky and Rachel) won the team prize, a fraction ahead of Ludlow, as did the men (Stacey, Simon and Gary). Full results on Results page.
