Offa’s Dyke 15 – 11 June 2022

News

As the Offa’s Dyke 15 race was instrumental in the formation of Croft Ambrey Running Club 40 years ago this year, we want as many members to enter as possible to celebrate the anniversary. Tom Davies has been in contact with the organisers and they have kindly allowed Croft Members to run a relay in conjunction with the main race.

This is for Croft Members only who want to be involved with the hisotric route but may not feel able to tackle the full 15 miles. It will consist of 3 legs:- Leg 1 Hay-On-Wye to Newchurch (approx 6 miles), leg 2 Newchurch to Gladestry (approx 4 miles) and leg 3, Gladestry to Kington.(approx 5 miles).

To enter the relay a team leader must enter the event as an individual on the Tempo Events website, then email Tom Davies giving the names of the other team members. Tom will then liaise with the organisers regarding race numbers and chip timing for each member of the team. This must be done before May 21st.

The team members will be responsible for transport to and from the change over points and we are asked to be considerate when parking at Newchurch and Glasestry as there is little space to park in either village.

As cut off times are tight an earlier start will be allowed, probably 30 mins for slower individuals and relay teams.

There is also a 10k individual runner option open to all.
