The Callow

Race Reports
You would be hard pressed to find a harder 5 miles than this with 2500 feet of climb involving 4  hills. It’s a classic, tough, Russell Mapp course and it was good to see him and Jayne out again marshalling after injury and illness.
Again Croft members were scarce, Gary Pearson having  another good run to finish 9th, 2nd mv45, Tom finished 35th, 1st mv65 in 1.30.29. Gary’s workmate and possible future member? Toby Newman finished a solid 21st overall in 1.18.40 off very little training.
The  total entry of  just 39  was much lower than last year possibly due to a clash with Moel-y-Gamelin but that did not prevent either Dominic Jones winning an engraved tankard for finishing in under one hour in the excellent time of 59.37 or 1st Lady Mel Price  just missing a tankard finishing 2nd overall in 1.00.10.
