The fourth of the Shropshire fell run summer series involved running up from Criggion Village Hall, through the woods and eventually the last steep climb up to the pillar itself. 121 runners finished, Jack Agnew being first home in 22.59, quite closely followed by our own Gary P, who was 25th, in 27.24. This time 2nd MV45, but there’s still all to play for. A Croft newcomer, Katie Ayres, then showed her ability on the hills, with a 50th place, and second senior lady (30.29). Gary G picked up the over 70 prize, in 90th place (35.01). The next fell race is at Pontesbury.
