Simon is an ironman!! He completed this exhausting, sponsored, event in 12 hours 10 minutes and 57 seconds, a working day and a half! There were 1400 competitors, of whom nearly 200 failed to finish, and Simon came 327th – a magnificent achievement!
It all began at 6am with 1 hr 22 minutes’ swim, followed by 6 hrs 40 mins (!!) bike and then 3 hrs 48 mins for the run, with 20 minutes in transitions. His own report is due to appear soon.
