Simon N ran this 7 mile cross country race, over a fast flattish course but started suffering from calf pain at 4 miles; he nevertheless carried on, to finish 27th (out of 470) in 46.24.

Tim Davies won easily in 52.22. Nicky ran really well to claim 1st FV45 in 1.18.11, ahead of Tom (1st MV60) in 1.23.09 – well done to both for winning category prizes.

6 runners entered the event this year, and Tim Clarke returned to reclaim victory (he won in 2006). Kim Drinkwater won the ladies’ race (39.27) with Alison 2nd (40.30). Nigel Misselbrook was first over 40, 4th overall (35.51) and Nicky 1st FV45 (42.54). Tom managed to beat brother Brian; Ashley also ran.

A much drier day this time, and even pleasantly sunny at the start; only 53 runners but still an improvement on last year.
