Ludlow parkrun

Race Reports

Two Croft runners competed in today’s parkrun, the sixth running of the event (and the temperature at 9am doesn’t get any warmer!). Both achieved PBs, Kelly also coming in first in the ladies’ run, in 24.33, having moved steadily up the field. Frank will have been pleased with his 19th place, in a new PB of 25.59, about a minute faster than his first race. Very well done to both. Of the Croft runners, Sue P has the best age related performance so far (17th overall, with 68.48% [of the world record for her age category]), with Sue D and me, neck and neck, in 21st/20th, 67.64/67.74%. It’s amazing what statistics are thrown up, and also how promptly – the day’s results, with all the accompanying statistics, are out by around 11am. If you can get out of bed in time, maybe you should give it a go (but don’t forget your barcode!)

  1. Thanks for the report, Guy, Its actually quite a testing little run, A good one if your
time is limited and much better than not doing anything. And to be perfectly honest I really need the practice.

  2. I’ve done Hereford parkrun half a dozen times, PB of 21.48, 14th overall, age grade 76.91% Although the surface is prettyslow on the racecourse,it’s more or less flat, unlike Ludlow parkrun, so I hear. I would like to try Ludlow for comparison on my next free Saturday morning, which won’t be for a while. Jasper’s PB is 19.29,4th overall age grade 72.80% . He has just joined Croft AmbreyRC
