The fog didn’t lift, not even on top of the Wrekin. Fortunately the number of runners (over 200 set off) meant there was almost always someone in sight to follow. Richard, venturing into a race as a break from his training for a 100 miler in 2012, had a great run covering the 8 miles (and 2,500ft climb), in 1hr 13mins 14secs, in 28th place. I came in 65th (1.19.18, a bit faster than last year), Dave Thomlinson was 142nd (1.31.08) and Tom 155th (1.34.34). Admin errors meant there were only 2 over 60s recorded, Tom being one of them.
