Cross Country League Round 2 , High Vinnals

Club numbers were down from 18 in the first round to just 13 for this ‘Russell Special’.
Fortunately it remained dry overhead for the race although heavy overnight rain had made the course more slippery and demanding than usual. This did not prevent Suzanne from showing her potentential to comfortably win the ladies race, Nicky also had an excellent run to finish in 3rd position. Karen improved considerably on her first round position, reversing places with Catherine to bring the ladies team home with another 3rd place.
Stacey had a slightly improved run, not quite back to his best but getting there! to lead Richard, Dan and Dave M to a solid 3rd place, with Richard continuing his recent improving run of form to finish in 11th place.
With very little recent training Chairman Bryan comfortably completed the course to prove that age is no barrier!
