Tori’s questionnaire: completed by 48 members. Mainly positive answers, main benefits for members were 1) the running community, 2) training, 3) being part of Croft club.

We have £2245 in the bank, with £933 worth of kit. Expected commitments will much reduce this figure.

There are 77 paid up members. Some ‘members’ are competing (eg Hereford 5k) without having paid, so no insurance cover for them.

Sam was hoping to organise a David Blenkharn memorial run during the week beginning June 8th, and later a Leinthall Starkes handicap race, with separate male/female runs to reduce numbers, and to enable more marshals to be present.

A long discussion took place on Martin Flowers’ proposals for restarting the Herefordshire leagues. Chip timing is likely to be used, so subs might need to rise to pay for it. Separate races/starts for females and males were suggested. Divided opinion on whether to offer shorter courses for women/older men. We generally liked the Herefordshire X-C courses, even if hilly, rather than the flatter variety run on playing fields etc. All participating clubs should contribute, in one way or another, to the laying on of courses.
