Caradoc Classic

Only two Croft runners,Gary and Tom, made the trip to Church Stretton for the second race in the Shropshire summer fell series. On a dry but cool and windy evening a slightly smaller field than normal of 91 runners lined up for the 3.5 mile ‘sprint’ to the top of Caer Caradoc and back. Gary, continuing his impressive form since returning from the Phillipines, took the over 65 prize with 47th place in 32.19. Tom finished 68th, 6th over 60 in a large contingent of  ‘old veterans’, in a time of 36.18. The race was won byTim Werrett in 24.01 and the first lady was Emma Gould 11th overall in 27.07.
