We held our AGM at Neil and Carol Powell’s Lower Newton Farm, Weobley, on Tuesday evening after a pleasant summer evening’s 4 mile run.
Sam’s chairman’s report is available separately, but it has obviously been a tough 16 months with many adaptations having to be made to our usual running lives. Above all we were all shocked and saddened by David Blenkharn’s sudden death during a virtual relay run a year ago. Tory’s treasurer’s report shows we have £1409 in the bank, and we hope some former members who have not yet rejoined will do so as some normality returns, producing a little more revenue for the club. Subs (£30 1st claim, £15 2nd claim) are due if you want to renew membership and run under the Croft ‘banner’.
All officers were happy to continue in role and were re-elected:
Sam – chair
Eric – vice chair
Tory – treasurer
Guy – secretary
Kelly – membership secretary
Will – social media/publicity (with Huw and Eric in support)
Theresa – volunteer coordinator
We will need to appoint a welfare officer, a role held by Sam at present but which could lead to a conflict of interests.
There was a discussion about club colours for training kit, because of the scarcity/higher cost of sky blue. Running vests and T shirts would remain in the traditional sky blue. It was also suggested that to reduce the costs of holding large amounts of stock (currently about £900) orders could be placed direct with online suppliers. A decision will be taken at the next committee meeting.
